Months ago, rumors arose speculating the possibility of Britney Spears moving back to Louisiana to join sister, Jamie Lynn Spears ,and mom, Lynne. Less-than-solid evidence suggested that Jamie Lynn's sister wanted a low-keyed environment for her two sons. Today, she finally gets her wish, but not in Louisiana. Suffice to say, the house isn't exactly cheaper than the one she's ditching! Could this really be more "low-keyed"?
Pop diva Britney Spears has lifted some weight off her pocket by shelling 8.9 million dollars on her new home. The pop princess spent the staggering amount on her Calabasas property, just outside LA, and is said to be in the middle of putting up her previous six-bedroom, six-bathroom home for 7.195 million dollars.
The 'Womanizer' hitmaker has already taken her sons Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, to see their new mansion. She was moving the kids' toys and other items into the place, reports the China Daily. The singer confirmed on her Twitter account: "I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can't wait to move in."
It had been previously stated, in the court papers filed by her father Jamie and lawyer Andrew Wallet last year, that Britney wanted to shift to "a lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighbourhood" that would be "more accessible to parks and recreation areas" for her kids. Jamie Lynn Spears' decoy is demanding $2 Million USD or she'll sue.
A woman who police used as a decoy for Jamie
Lynn Spears at Los Angeles International Airport in September is now
demanding airport police pay her $2 million, or she will sue.
A
lawyer for Adessa Eskeridge has filed a claim for damages against the
LAX Police Department, suggesting that the woman was used as a “decoy”
for the famous teenager in September 2008 without her consent.
Eskeridge’s
attorney, R.J. Molligan claims Eskeridge was “not given any details as
to the nature of the task or of the potential danger involved. She
simply followed the instructions of the police as most good citizens
would do.”
In her filing, Molligan alleges that LAX
police “did not want to subject Ms. Spears to the pushing, shoving,
humiliation and possible physical injury that come with the paparazzi,
but instead decided that Ms. Eskeridge was not important enough to give
the same protections to.”
The
lawyer claims her client was “never informed that upon deplaning, she
would be mobbed by the paparazzi, that she would be in fear of her
well-being, that her picture would be taken, (and) that video of her
would be all over the Internet.”
Molligan
alleges that Eskeridge was “deceived and manipulated” by the LAX
police. She also claims that her client “suffered and continues to
suffer great humiliation” as a result of the incident.
In her statement, Molligan adds that the incident of last September counts as a “false arrest.”
Molligan
notes that her client is “willing to consider a reasonable and fair
settlement that fully compensates her for the humiliation, fear and
harassment that she has been subjected (to) at the hands of LAX-PD.”
The reasonable settlement Molligan is requesting for her client is $2 million. Source: MSNBC
Here's a neat follow-up article on Jamie Lynn Spears' older brother's wedding on New Years Eve! The following article was published by People's Mary M.
Britney Spears made it a cozy New Year's Eve with her family – seeing big brother Bryan, 31, tie the knot in a private ceremony at New Orleans landmark Latrobe's on Royal.
"It was beautiful," a source tells PEOPLE about the elder Spears's wedding to Graciella Sanchez, 36, longtime manager of little sister Jamie Lynn. "It was only close family, very small and intimate."
While the couple's engagement may have caught many by surprise – they only recently started dating seriously – the two have been acquaintances for years.
"The family was totally excited," a friend of the family tells PEOPLE. "Graciella's wonderful. Everybody was happy about it."
The bride looked stunning in a beige-white Carolina Herrera dress, while the groom sported a smart Marc Jacobs suit. As for the guests? Sanchez's mother and brother were in attendance, as was the entire Spears crew including sisters Britney and Jamie Lynn; their kids Jayden James, Preston and Maddie; Jamie Lynn's fiancé Casey Aldridge; and parents Jamie and Lynne.
According to many reports (including X17, FoxNews, PerezH.), Bryan Spears, brother of Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears, will marry Jamie Lynn Spears' manager, Graciella Sanchez tonight in New Orleans, Louisiana! The entire spears family is expected to be there.
TMZ reports that Jamie Lynn's Decoy (from awhile back) is claiming that she was forced into being Jamie Lynn Spears' decoy. Refer to the video below if you are not aware of the "Jamie Lynn airport decoy" awhile back.
TMZ has learned the L.A. Airport Police and the City of Los Angeles may end up getting sued over a bungled attempt to protect Britney Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn.
Last September 11, when Jamie Lynn flew to Los Angeles, LAX cops tried to divert the paparazzi by using a decoy whom they escorted to baggage claim. The impromptu decoy -- Adessa Eskridge -- happened to be on the same plane as Jamie Lynn.
Eskridge's lawyer, Chuck Vernon, tells us one of the cops told Eskridge as she got off the plane, "You're going to help us with something." He says it was almost as if she was taken into custody. Vernon says cops told Eskridge to walk with them as they made their way to baggage claim.
Vernon says as the eight officers escorted his client, she took her sunglasses off but they told her to put them back on. As they reached the bottom of the escalator, she was suddenly and unwittingly besieged by paparazzi.
Jamie Lynn was able to beat a hasty retreat from the airport, undetected by the media.
Vernon says Eskridge has filed a claim for money with the City of L.A., a prelude to filing a lawsuit. Vernon says a City rep from Risk Management contacted him yesterday. Vernon vows, if the claim is rejected, Eskridge will file a lawsuit claiming false arrest and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
